Very thin fabric may be fine for summer but often looks cheap and becomes see through. I also check if the lenses have any blue light filter or anti-reflection coating. A good store usually answers questions quickly and does not hide behind canned messages.

I prefer simple designs that do not depend only on heavy filters in the pictures. It is always difficult to know which website is really trustworthy before you place an order. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. Sharing real world usage stories is often more helpful than any advertisement. I also started paying attention to how websites display sizing charts for clothing. If a deal looks too good to be true, it usually has some kind of catch.
